If you're thinking of heading to a Miami university, Florida International in Miami is definitely one to consider. True to its name, Miami´s public institution of higher learning is home to 34,000 students representing more than 130 countries, making it one of the largest universities in the country. Students can choose from nearly 200 areas of study, including nationally ranked creative writing, management information systems and hospitality departments. In addition, its Latin American and Caribbean Center is designated as a Title VI National Resource Center by the U.S. Department of Education and considered to be one of the finest of its type in the world. Altogether, the University boasts 18 colleges and schools in areas ranging from business to engineering to arts and sciences to law.
