Registering for School

If you're relocating to Miami with a school aged student, you need to know the registration requirements. • If you have a kindergartener, they need to have turned 5 on or before September 1. • To enter first grade, the student needs to have turned 6 on or before September 1 – and they must have completed Kindergarten. • To register, students need proof of age, immunization records, records of a physical exam within one year or enrollment and proof of residence. • If your student is transferring from another school, that school should provide report cards and other records and information to the new school.
